[00:01]<zudl>the lowest bidder
[00:01]<rgmygyus>Aeneon
[00:01]<rgmygyus>2GB (2X1GB) AENEON DDR2 667MHz PC2-5300 200 PIN SDRAM SO-DIMM
[00:01]<sczrdx>heh

[00:01]<rgmygyus>Lifetime warranty baby
[00:02]<rgmygyus>It doens't matter
[00:02]<rgmygyus>I don't care what the PC-whatever is
[00:02]<rgmygyus>DDR2-667
[00:02]<rgmygyus>That's all that matters
[00:03]<|au2|>hey there
[00:04]<sczrdx>im back..
[00:04]<sczrdx>had to go get the good 'ol credit card
[00:04]<rgmygyus>Yeah.
[00:04]<|au2|>ppl, can u advise me some torrent client except azureus?
[00:04]<rgmygyus>|cub|: BitTorrent, BitTornado
[00:05]<|au2|>thnx
[00:05]<rgmygyus>http://sarwat.net/bittorrent/
[00:05]<rgmygyus>People here also recommend Transmission
[00:07]<mjuvjg>Tomato (BT client)
[00:07]<rgmygyus>I just run uTorrent on my Windows box
[00:07]<zudl>transmission
[00:08]<rgmygyus>I wonder if RDC is slow because it's slow or because of Rosetta or because of something else?
[00:09]<zyzxzzmp>RDC?
[00:09]<zyzxzzmp>Remote Desktop?
[00:13]<mjuvjg>On LAN, RDC & ARD were on par for me.
[00:14]<rgmygyus>Yeah, MS's Terminal Services thing.
[00:21]<rgmygyus>So yeah, why does my back hurt so much. =(
[00:21]<dsycdr>Hey people. Do you know of a good music player that will allow me to play APE, FLAC, SPC and OGG files?
[00:21]<dsycdr>Or are there iTunes plugins that can do this?
[00:22]<zyzxzzmp>iTunes uses quicktime, so if ou can find quicktime plugins for those, yes iTunes can use them
[00:23]<dsycdr>Aha, I see. That's useful. Maybe you guys can point me to a place where I could find something like that?
[00:23]<bysxjl6>try pure-mac.com
[00:24]<bysxjl6>they have a listing of a lot of good mac apps
[00:24]<bysxjl6>by category
[00:24]<dsycdr>Thanks.
[00:25]<bysxjl6>sure thing
[00:32]<-- dvxn|syzzzyus xzs>http://www.bagdadsoftware.de")
[00:35]<gyajo9ow>is there any reason to chose neooffice over openoffice or vice-versa ?
[00:35]<ausvyg>NeoOffice is native, OOo is X11.
[00:39]<rgmygyus>Native to aqua, that is.
[00:39]<rgmygyus>Aqua, even.
[00:40]<gyajo9ow>do they both support opendocument?
[00:41]<tnuzynf>is there a census somewhere's on what ppl prefer between the metal interface and the "normal" i guess it's called
[00:45]<rgmygyus>Tzuriel: Metal, unified, and neither?
[00:45]<rgmygyus>I like Unified
[00:45]<bysxjl6>i've never seen one, but i prefer the unified look like mail to that of safari
[00:46]<bysxjl6>either way they go, i think apple needs to pick one and apply it to all their native apps
[00:46]<rgmygyus>I agree.
[00:46]<rgmygyus>I think unified is nice, clean and simple.
[00:47]<bysxjl6>i mean garage band i kinda understand - it's got its own market etc... but iChat, Safari and iCal are metal - then Mail, iTunes, etc... are unified - what the hell? :)
[00:47]<bysxjl6>yeah, it feels like metal takes up too much space with its thick app borders
[00:47]<rgmygyus>Whoa why's my phone off
[00:48]<bysxjl6>anyway, sorry, that's no sensus, but that's my take
[00:48]<rgmygyus>I hate weekends
[00:48]<rgmygyus>I tend to not leave the house
[00:48]<rgmygyus>And I don't have much drinkable caffeine here
[00:48]<bysxjl6>cause you can't or just don't?
[00:48]<rgmygyus>I don't
[00:49]<bysxjl6>well that's your choice then :) - oh, you gotta get an espresso machine - i make my own vanilla iced lattes and i calculated costs to se what i'm saving - $619 a year
[00:49]<rgmygyus>I was gonna go get coffee or a Monster or something earlier, but the weather was like ... scary.
[00:49]<rgmygyus>Heh
[00:49]<bysxjl6>oh, well the weather here almost demands i get out - LA
[00:50]<bysxjl6>if it was rainy or stormy, i'd stay in too
[00:50]<rgmygyus>The rain was horrible earlier
[00:50]<rgmygyus>I'm in Texas. When it rains, it pours.
[00:50]<bysxjl6>oh yeah - and then the humidity
[00:50]<bysxjl6>yuck
[00:50]<rgmygyus>It's usually dry here
[00:50]<rgmygyus>Painfully dry.
[00:51]<rgmygyus>2-3 hours East though and it is painfully humid
[00:51]<rgmygyus>I don't get it, but okay.
[00:51]<dsycdr>Can't seem to really find any viable solutions, still. The OGG component for Quicktime doesn't seem to work.
[00:51]<bysxjl6>nico8481 - i'm pretty sure they both support opendocument
[00:51]<gyajo9ow>cool
[00:51]<bysxjl6>neooffice is a port of OO, from what i understand
[00:51]<rgmygyus>NeoOffice is a branch of OpenOffice
[00:51]<bysxjl6>it's not "as" up to date as the original, but it's close
[00:51]<dzzygg>msikma: the OGG component broke in QT7
[00:51]<rgmygyus>It lags behind OO a little...
[00:51]<dsycdr>Oh, I see.
[00:52]<bysxjl6>still looking for a media player?
[00:52]<bysxjl6>didn't find anythign on pure-mac?
[00:52]<dsycdr>There's this PureMusic Audio Player program that is touted to work, but the download site (a Mac homepage) is gone and there doesn't seem to be a mirror anywhere.
[00:52]<dsycdr>Yeah, I found a few things, but that one thing (component for FLAC, APE, etc.) seems to be gone, unfortunately.
