[00:00]<nd0zd>Zorg: oh yeah?
[00:00]<nd0zd>Zorg: because the last few i instaleld were.
[00:00]<zjzr>em0ry: ...
[00:00]<nd0zd>Zorg: quake4, wow, dark ages of cam. all that shit is at least 1 DVD
[00:00]<urvna>rorx: yes, i can ping that from the mac
[00:00]<zjzr>maybe the ones you play..
[00:00]<nd0zd>Zorg: well we're not talking about Pong.
[00:00]<urvna>em0ry: nethack
[00:00]<nd0zd>yeah grea.t
[00:00]<zjzw>Uatec: ok, now what's the dafault gateway on the machine you're trying to reach on Network B?
[00:01]<nd0zd>you don't need XP to play a game that runs on 100 OS's in 1MB of RAM
[00:01]<urvna>192.168.1.1 (not the mac)
[00:01]<zjzw>Uatec: can you change that?
[00:01]<urvna>no
[00:01]<urvna>but don't worry about that
[00:01]<zjzw>Uatec: can you add a static route then?
[00:01]<urvna>i just want network A to see network b)
[00:02]<urvna>not to those machines..., but i can to the mac
[00:02]<zjzw>Uatec: well, it does, but network B needs to know how to get to network A for communication to happen.
[00:02]<duc_y2jjc>I don't get sketch-up
[00:02]<duc_y2jjc>any cg app could do that
[00:02]<urvna>rorx: well, ok...
[00:02]<zjzw>Uatec: the other option is to add a static route to the default route, router that Network B is using.
[00:03]<urvna>rorx: i do not want to do that
[00:03]<zjzw>Uatec: this will send an ICMP redirect to all hosts on network B, so that they go through the Mac, when communicating with Network A.. it's what one has to do if you can't change the routing of each individual node.
[00:04]<urvna>i do not mind if network B cannot establish a connection to network A as long as net A can establish one to net B
[00:04]<nwp>they made a modesty blaise movie in 2003
[00:04]<zjzw>Uatec: ok, well, I think that's all you can do then.
[00:04]<urvna>i don't want any hosts on network B to rely on my mac
[00:04]<urvna>only on network A
[00:04]<nwp>i didn't know that
[00:04]<zjzw>Uatec: well as I just said, Network B nodes MUST know about your Mac to be able to REACH Network A
[00:04]<ysna_d2l>sorry how many world championship was wan by brasil?
[00:05]<zyzxzzmp>heh, azeurus sucks - "99.9% complete, 59.7GB total, 59.78GB downloaded, 44MB remaining'
[00:05]<nwp>isec_mbp: 5
[00:05]<ysna_d2l>oh my god
[00:05]<urvna>rorx: if i connect from a to b the connection is made, b does not need to be able to connect from b to a
[00:05]<urvna>does it?
[00:05]<ysna_d2l>I make a google search but did't belive 5 times?!?!?
[00:05]<zjzw>Uatec: so that involves either adding a static route to the router that Network B is using, changing the default route, or lastly adding a static network route to each node.. on Network B
[00:05]<urvna>otherwise google would get very very very confused when 10,000,000 192.168.2.1 machiens try to connect to it
[00:06]<zjzw>Uatec: yes, it does.
[00:06]<nd0zd>no, it woudln't be confused
[00:06]<nd0zd>heh, it couldn't even get there.
[00:06]<zjzw>Uatec: otherwise your ping would be successful.
[00:06]<nd0zd>nobody allows source-routing anymore
[00:06]<urvna>*sigh* /me thinks there is some confusion here
[00:07]<nd0zd>just run the tcpdump for crying out loud. i don't see why this is so difficult.
[00:07]<urvna>rorx: which network A or B do you think XP is on?
[00:07]<zjzw>em0ry: easy, this isn't simple for everyone.
[00:07]<zjzw>Uatec: A
[00:07]<tggcrwr>evening all
[00:08]<urvna>oh dear
[00:08]<urvna>hmm
[00:08]<rjj>I need a program that can aquire a photo from the built in iSight and then let me crop it.. anyone knows of a good freeware prog for that purpose?
[00:08]<urvna>the thing is i've done this before
[00:08]<urvna>and it only needed one command
[00:08]<urvna>i've just forgotten the command
[00:09]<zjzw>Uatec: with the Mac?
[00:10]<ggrzjsrg>Uatec: Why don't you just use System Preferences?
[00:10]<ggrzjsrg>You don't seem like you know too much about the Terminal.
[00:10]<nd0zd>i just put Uatec on /ignore for spamming me with stupid output from tcpdump
[00:10]<ggrzjsrg>I'm willing to assume you don't feel comfortable at a command prompt.
[00:10]<nd0zd>and cursing at me.
[00:10]<nd0zd>i asked for a tcpdump to show icmp
[00:10]<nd0zd>and instead i'm getting his linux box spamming all over the place
[00:11]<zjzw>Necrosan: because Internet sharing does NAT
[00:11]<nd0zd>i got a screen full of his stupid Synergy traffic.
[00:12]<zjzw>em0ry: I guess you got your wish after all. B)
[00:12]<ggrzjsrg>heh
[00:12]<nd0zd>not at all.
[00:12]<nd0zd>i asked for someone to not be a retard and do the dump i asked for.
[00:13]<nd0zd>since all i see is stupid synergy traffic i can't tell you if icmp is getting across.
[00:13]<nd0zd>i think you have to be *very* deliberate with him.
[00:14]<zjzw>doesn't matter anyhow, he only has half of it setup.
[00:16]<mjjpyus>Why doesent any file I have have a BPM? (itunes, win >_<)
[00:18]<nd0zd>bahahah that guy is still sending me tcpdump
[00:18]<nd0zd>too bad its just headers or i could watch him move his mouse in synergy
[00:18]<nd0zd>and key-capture :D
[00:18]<zyzxzzmp>BPM?
[00:18]<nd0zd>heh
[00:18]<mjjpyus>Beats Per Minute
[00:19]<zyzxzzmp>probably because its an obscure ID3 tag that noone uses?
[00:19]<mjjpyus>I want to have fast/slow songs in a dynamic playlist
[00:19]<mjjpyus>oh
[00:20]<agp>naturally
[00:20]<agp>who wants to put time in that
[00:20]<agp>calculate average BPM for every song
[00:20]<rgmygyus>What about the songs that don't have a steady beat?
[00:20]<rgmygyus>Will that not throw it off?
[00:21]<ggrzjsrg>old friend of mine died of electrocution
[00:21]<ggrzjsrg>yesterday morning
[00:21]<agp>aedinius: not if it's average
[00:21]<agp>Necrosan: o,O
[00:21]<ggrzjsrg>grabbed power wires to try & show off
[00:21]<rgmygyus>Necrosan: Ouch.
[00:21]<ggrzjsrg>dude was only 19
[00:21]<ggrzjsrg>heh
[00:21]<rgmygyus>Wow
[00:21]<zyzxzzmp>to show off?
