[09:40]<gru>I wish my Mac had Bluetooth
[09:41]<gru>I opted it out :/
[09:41]<frsvjrac>you can get that d-link usb-bluetooth thingy
[09:41]<smgm9>Those dongles are ass-cheap
[09:42]<rgmygyus>I'm using a dongle on my powermac, works perfectly.
[09:43]<smgm9>Time for a movie
[09:45]<szlzzjc>is it any good?
[09:45]<rgmygyus>Clerks 2 is good
[09:45]<rgmygyus>I enjoyed it.
[09:45]<rgmygyus>Well, not "good"
[09:45]<rgmygyus>But it's a decent film, full of laughs.
[09:45]<szlzzjc>nod
[09:45]<rgmygyus>It reminded me more of the TV show than the first movie though
[09:46]<rgmygyus>In terms of antics.
[09:46]<rgmygyus>Eh
[09:46]<rgmygyus>It's worth the $6 I paid to see it.
[09:47]<frsvjrac>heh. "I'm not even supposed to be here today!" :)
[09:47]<rgmygyus>FastJack: There were references to the first movie throughout.
[09:47]<rgmygyus>Some better than others.
[09:48]<frsvjrac>a double feature with both movies might be fun
[09:48]<rgmygyus>That would be
[09:49]<rgmygyus>I'll do that when the DVD come sout
[09:49]<rgmygyus>I have both the original DVD release and Clerks X
[09:52]<dzzydns>yeah i just keep the ripped movies on dvd
[09:52]<dzzydns>and use the phillips player downstairs to watch them in the den
[10:03]<dd9>Hey people, anyone around?
[10:13]<rgmygyus>no.
[10:13]<dd9>Good answer
[10:14]<rgmygyus>Better timing.
[10:14]<dd9>I think I found my solution to my problem however, and I shall take my leave.
[10:14]<rgmygyus>Make you sweat a little.
[10:14]<dzzydns>omg i'm dying -- clerks 2 fsckin rocks
[10:14]<rgmygyus>Aha
[10:14]<rgmygyus>Yeah, I loved it
[10:15]<dzzydns>the part about lord of the rings and the frodo suck fest :)
[10:15]<dzzydns>omgomg
[10:15]<rgmygyus>LOL
[10:15]<rgmygyus>Yeah
[10:15]<rgmygyus>That so very gay ending.
[10:16]<rgmygyus>Well, I'm tired of Cahrazy Ivan
[10:22]<jjfjg>synd3: i got irssi working now

[10:24]<zysa>lol yeah
[10:24]<zysa>I'm at home now yes
[10:24]<jjfjg>heh
[10:24]<zysa>brb gotta find the media pcs remote
[10:25]<zysa>that's better
[10:25]<jjfjg>lazy fucker
[10:25]<zysa>:D
[10:25]<zysa>always
[10:42]<jjfjg>NN all
[10:58]<zysa>back in a while watching the 1997 MacWorld Boston Keynote
[10:58]<zysa>:D
[11:30]<zyzxzzmp>risc: morning
[11:33]<puacax>hi all
[11:34]<puacax>is it possible to configure mac os x as client for automounting shares, using ldap ?
[11:35]<puacax>i already has successfully configured automount, but with definitions in a file
[11:35]<puacax>login using our ldap server is also ok
[11:35]<puacax>as we have definitions of the shares in ldap, could we use them ?
[11:53]<puacax>What is the "macosx way" for installing perl modules system-wide ? (I want to install Net::LDAP)
[11:55]<zyzxzzmp>PuckCh: use the standard perl way
[11:56]<jmj>good morning all
[11:56]<puacax>RichardP: -MCPAN ?
[11:58]<zysa>Good God the original iBook was fugly
[11:58]<zysa>http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdpRSj7tLiY
[11:58]<zysa>LOL
[12:00]<zyzxzzmp>risc: the toilet seat?
[12:00]<zyzxzzmp>PuckCh: whatever, im not a perl person
[12:01]<puacax>RichardP: ok, thanks. will try it.
[12:06]<sfrmn>hey Kids
[12:17]<zyzxzzmp>hey mom
[12:17]<rnacjq>PuckCh: i would use cpan
[12:45]<wjgcgu>back
[13:03]<puacax>gecko2: i'm trying "sudo cpan -i Net::LDAP", but it complains about missing Net::SSLeay. So, I have try "sudo cpan -i Net::SSLeay", and it fails when trying to connect to secure.worldgaming.net (timeout)
[13:03]<puacax>do you have a solution ? (I'm not a big fan of Perl)
[13:03]<puacax>of course, if you have a solution for accessing the LDAP from Python, it's even better for me. :-)
[13:45]<tggcrwr>PuckCh: hm.. thats a good question
[13:46]<tggcrwr>how would ldap apply to a filesystem mount?
[13:46]<tggcrwr>auuthentication?
[13:47]<puacax>no. definition of the server, directory to mount, options...
[13:47]<puacax>this will replace the /etc/auto* files.
[13:47]<puacax>we already do this on our Linux systems, without problems.
[13:48]<puacax>just by adding "automount: ldap" in /etc/nsswitch.conf.
[13:49]<puacax>I've goggled a little bit for macosx, and the solution I have found use a perl script to re-generate local automount files in a regular basis.
[13:50]<puacax>not perfect, but this could be a work-around.
[13:50]<puacax>that's why I talking about perl here. ;-)
[13:51]<puacax>i also have try to do this with python, using python-ldap, but the python-ldap package for macosx requiere python-24...
[13:51]<puacax>is there a place where I can find the python-24 package for macosx ?
[13:54]<tggcrwr>PuckCh: you can try fink
[13:55]<nwp>RichardP: http://www.bea-fr.org/docspa/2000/f-sc000725a/htm/f-sc000725a.html
[13:55]<tggcrwr>bbl.. gotta run
[13:55]<puacax>already try... but the python-ldap don't see it, and can't be installed
[13:55]<puacax>will try to install the package for mac from python.org...
[13:56]<puacax>hope this don't create a problem with the 2.3 installed python.
[14:00]<puacax>ok. installation of the python2.4 and python-ldap is ok. ;-)
[14:00]<puacax>will try it this afternoon.
[14:01]<puacax>have a nice day
