[00:18]<dzezycssjg>How long is a minute these days ? :-)
[00:20]<zyffyr>it's over now.
[00:20]<zyffyr>claudio`: look at line 1 of the Makefile.
[00:20]<zyffyr>hey, everybody else could have answered this question.
[00:21]<zyffyr>all lazy here.
[00:22]<rrl>Does anyone here have a benchmark chart that shows Postgre beats MSSQL?
[00:25]<o2nz>29;5yes
[00:25]<o2nz>yes rather
[00:25]<o2nz>beats it on netbsd
[00:25]<o2nz>on a MP box postgresql is much faster on netbsd because mysql kernel threads
[00:25]<o2nz>-er because postgresql uses processes which scale on netbsd MP, as opposed to USE_THREADS which does not quite work well for mysql which uses threads under the same process.
[00:29]<rrl>Ober, uhmm, ok, I was talking of M$SQL.. MySQL is out of question anyway. :)
[00:29]<o2nz>ohhh
[00:29]<o2nz>then you mean win32 platform...
[00:29]<o2nz>shame on you :P
[00:29]<rrl>Hey, it's not me fault..
[00:40]<zzzjac>;)
[01:21]<dnfvrs9>why my router doesn't recognize my *nix machines host?
[01:22]<dnfvrs9>a linksys
[01:22]<dnfvrs9>and appears something like "#Ç%/
[01:24]<dzezycssjg>When using dhcp ?
[01:24]<dnfvrs9>yes
[01:25]<dnfvrs9>4ØÃà Å
[01:25]<dnfvrs9>that's the hostname that appears on DHCP Client table
[01:28]<dzezycssjg>Tah
[01:28]<dnfvrs9>?
[01:28]<lzja>DeltaS4: I hate your english
[01:28]<lzja>it sounds like bin laden's english :P
[01:28]<dnfvrs9>sorry
[01:28]<lzja>...
[01:28]<lzja>don't appologise
[01:29]<lzja>because I feel like an asshole then :(

[01:31]<dnfvrs9>but can u help me on that?
[01:31]<dzezycssjg>Well, no, probably not :-)
[01:32]<dzezycssjg>But I would check the hostname of the unix-machine to start with, if I where you :)
[01:58]<o2nz>ok new i386 iso for 3.99.23
[02:27]<s2zxzz>Does VMware 2.X not work with NetBSD?
[02:28]<asjpv>*shrug* I dont know.
[02:28]<dnsvzuavj>no idea
[02:29]<s2zxzz>Hrm.
[02:29]<s2zxzz>Doesn't seem to be.
[02:31]<s2zxzz>vmware-module port is broken too.
[02:31]<s2zxzz>Package is fine.
[02:33]<cjvxjr>anyone else have problems installing a -current (3.99.23) amd64 that was built on an i386?
[02:33]<cjvxjr>.. or rather: has anyone been successful installing a fresh -current built from cvs from boot floppies that were compiled on an i386? :)
[02:33]<s2zxzz>Scripts are broken too.
[02:34]<zy2rs>i just use pkgsrc-current :)
[02:38]<s2zxzz>ribas: Upgrading to that. Let's see if things are fixed there. ;-)
[02:39]<zy2rs>sbahra: good!! good =)
[02:39]<s2zxzz>hehe
[02:51]<o2nz>i386 iso for 3.99.23 if anyone wants it
[02:51]<o2nz>http://zeniv.linux.org.uk/~ober/netbsd-i386.iso.bz2 md5 cbfb0597396c717fc9a64f9df71fde7f
[02:51]<o2nz>have not tested it yet
[03:02]<s2zxzz>Hey
[03:02]<s2zxzz>Do I want to use Xen 3 or Xen 2?
[03:02]<rraffsax>2, at least for now
[03:03]<s2zxzz>jakllsch: Why?
[03:04]<s2zxzz>jakllsch: What are the differences?
[03:05]<rraffsax>well, you can't run a netbsd dom0 without -current
[03:05]<rraffsax>under 3.0
[03:05]<s2zxzz>jakllsch: I see.
[03:29]<mzjfl>yeah, my xen box is still 2, but i'm almost done migrating all the production images off it, so
