[00:00]<zjdsvnz>not*
[00:00]<zzvd>bsd license basically means that you don't need to contribute changes back
[00:01]<zjdsvnz>ah
[00:01]<zjdsvnz>thanks for that bit of knolodge arty
[00:01]<zzvd>it's free for any use including commercial exploitation
[00:01]<zjdsvnz>while GNU has to supply the soruce code
[00:01]<zzvd>you can use GPL software commercially, but if you modify it and distribute it you generally are bound to send back your changes
[00:01]<gznzvljzm>at request
[00:01]<gznzvljzm>under some year
[00:02]<zzvd>also, there are limits to the ways in which GPL software can be combined with proprietary software
[00:02]<gznzvljzm>that is minum requmebt if gpl
[00:02]<gznzvljzm>how the source dispruter
[00:02]<cjvyvy>I'm bored. I think I'll install Fedora Core now.

[00:06]<gznzvljzm>yeah
[00:07]<bnrnyfyrg_jjn>hmm trying ktorrent now. Azureus is still a favorite for advanced tweakers and full control of downloads, but it's nice, and integrates better with kde...
[00:07]<gznzvljzm>the sun just gone down down
[00:07]<fyzn2rff>we're gonna have 30 degrees tomorrow
[00:07]<gznzvljzm>seen 1 hour

[00:09]<zjdsvnz>like*
[00:09]<wzwdzzrjg>hmmm
[00:10]<vzzyzgv>GreatLord: did'nt know that, I kinda thought it was past couple of years or so
[00:10]<zjdsvnz>azerious is too bloated
[00:10]<vzzyzgv>GreatLord: somone should update the wiki :P
[00:10]<zjdsvnz>and slow java crappyness
[00:10]<zjdsvnz>imo anyways
[00:10]<vzzyzgv>Romster: compile it with gcj
[00:10]<zjdsvnz>never worked well for me
[00:10]<mzfznm>variant: for some long time not much happend with reactos
[00:10]<zjdsvnz>hrmm that i never tryed todo
[00:11]<zjdsvnz>variant it workded good in gcj?
[00:11]<vzzyzgv>Romster: not tried it myself but some people have i think
[00:11]<zjdsvnz>if it even has a gcj MakeFile
[00:11]<zjdsvnz>i'll have to look into that
[00:12]<zjdsvnz>i knew of gcj but i didn't even think of trying that.
[00:12]<zjdsvnz>silly me
[00:12]<usuzl>Romster: on fedora it has a gcj linked package
[00:12]<vzzyzgv>Romster: http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=136288
[00:12]<zjdsvnz>i've got core linux
[00:12]<usuzl>and it works without problem on sun 1.6 beta 1/2
[00:12]<zjdsvnz>but i could prolly port it
[00:13]<zjdsvnz>as its jsut a script basicly to compile it from source
[00:13]<usuzl>port ? in java ?
[00:13]<vzzyzgv>Romster: its just a short build script. shouldnt have to make any (or many) changes
[00:15]<usuzl>Romster: hey, azureus has an autoupdater for its plugins and libraries
[00:16]<zjdsvnz>cool i'll try that ut later
[00:16]<zjdsvnz>out*
[00:16]<zjdsvnz>package ports system for my distro
[00:17]<zjdsvnz>hrmm auto update with a ports system could get messy
[00:17]<zjdsvnz>http://crux.nu/ < my distro
[00:18]<zjdsvnz>if ya liek to haev power and fiddle with linux you'll like it, but for inexpeareanced users its not for you unless your into serious learning
[00:18]<usuzl>hey, autoupdater is not mandatory... and you normally run it as an _user_
[00:19]<zjdsvnz>oh i install most things as a systemwide install and then any user can run it and there settings goto there home directory
[00:20]<zjdsvnz>and yeah i'll just disable the auto update option on the program, as the ports system does that
[00:20]<usuzl>yup... no privileged user and you're fine
[00:21]<zjdsvnz>yeah
[00:21]<gznzvljzm>variant : everthing how reactos started
[00:21]<zjdsvnz>its installed as root but it only runs as a user
[00:21]<vzzyzgv>GreatLord: huh?
[00:21]<gznzvljzm>are in reatos histroy page
[00:21]<vzzyzgv>ah
[00:21]<vzzyzgv>should be on wikipedia
[00:21]<zjdsvnz>btw what compiler is reactos compiled with?
[00:21]<zjdsvnz>fpc, gcc?
[00:22]<wzwdzzrjg>have fun
[00:22]<zzvd>mingw
[00:22]<ds_xzvnz>MinGW
[00:22]<zzvd>(gcc)
[00:22]<zjdsvnz>mingw and gcc?
[00:22]<cjvyvy>MinGW uses GCC
[00:22]<mzfznm>Romster: only mingw under windows
[00:22]<gznzvljzm>mingw is windows version of gcc
[00:22]<mzfznm>yes
[00:22]<wd-afk>Mingw is GCC ;0)
[00:23]<zjdsvnz>ah i just looked it up not quite the same as the gcc 4.1.1 i use on crux though
[00:23]<zjdsvnz>its optimised for windows stuff
