[00:00]<sgnac>host only
[00:00]<nyzznnnj>sounds like name resolution.
[00:00]<sgnac>maybe
[00:00]<nyzznnnj>just a guess.
[00:00]<sgnac>I wil try disabling reverse lookups
[00:00]<nyzznnnj>when things hang for 20/30 seconds at a time I always suspect name resolution of some sort.
[00:01]<ayda_>brb
[00:01]<sgnac>hmm is it changed to LookupClientHostnames? thought it was UseDNS
[00:36]<ygsjdgyr>https://secure.bumperart.com/ProductDetails.aspx?SKU=2004011446&productID=766
[00:36]<ygsjdgyr>I should totally stick that on the truck.
[00:52]<rrsnd>Can somebody tell me where on sunsolve to find the latest prom for an ultra2?
[00:58]<ygsjdgyr>under firmware updates.
[01:20]<mygmmzyvn>Hmm, can someone remind me if a given ipfilter configuration holds for ALL zones, or if local zones can allow/deny different things than the global/other local zones?
[01:24]<rrsnd>insomnia: I can't find that
[01:26]<ivrgr_>MindDrive: ipfilter only runs/controls things from the global zone, no per-zone policies yet.
[01:27]<mygmmzyvn>Well, this will make things interesting, then.
[01:31]<mygmmzyvn>The main reason I asked is that my global zone is my desktop which I want to keep relatively locked down, network wise, but the local zones will be running services that will need additional ports open.
[01:31]<aymm>I have a question about Solaris patches from Sun. Does 108528 look like a plausible patch number/designation? Also if you apply one patch set ... the later apply one (perhaps a "jumbo patch"?) that includes or supercedes it ... will you still see both patch numbers in the query? For that matter, how do you query a Solaris system to get a list of the patches that have been applied to it? Is is just a pkg_* command?
[01:32]<aymm>(Okay, that's *three* questions about Solaris patches and I'll add one more: is there a FAQ just on Solaris patches?)
[01:32]<bfzzcm_svzzmusv>hiya
[01:34]<ivrgr_>jimd: "showrev -p" to get a list of installed patches.
[01:38]<ggrzjsrg>http://linuxdorks.ytmnd.com/
[01:38]<ggrzjsrg>hahaha
[01:39]<dzvzsvznzd>Hmm long might tonight

[03:01]<czzzjv-w>there are 3 parts, elementary algebra, college math, and then trig
[03:01]<czzzjv-w>i got a 100, 89, and then 6/12
[03:01]<czzzjv-w>to pass i needed 7/12
[03:01]<czzzjv-w>it sucks so much, i have one more chance to take it
[03:02]<czzzjv-w>if i don't pass then i dont take a math this semester, i take 105 next semester and i delay my graduation date a year
[03:03]<rrmnsm>did you buy them at the book store?
[03:04]<czzzjv-w>ya i bought them at the 'gj
[03:04]<czzzjv-w>]
[03:04]<czzzjv-w>GMU bookstore, sorry i can't type the laptop is sitting awkward
[03:07]<rrmnsm>should of checked amazon.com my son is saving about $200 over the used book prices at the bookstore
[03:07]<rrmnsm>one book was $4 + 3.50 shipping used at amazon.com and was $45 at the bookstore used.
[03:08]<czzzjv-w>wow that's ridiculous, next semester i'll buy my books off amazon
[03:10]<rrmnsm>yeah and you can buy paper back at amazon.com and if you are forced to buy new they still cost less and they weigh less when you are hauling 4 or 5 of them to classes.
