[02:54]<fgjggf>hello Is there any webmail as squirrelmail or better that runs with tomcat ?
[02:56]<rrsjg2>Yes. Let me see if I can find some links....
[02:56]<fgjggf>great
[02:59]<rrsjg2>http://jwebmail.sourceforge.net/
[03:00]<rrsjg2>http://jwma.sourceforge.net/
[03:01]<fgjggf>jasonb, thanks
[03:02]<rrsjg2>leonel: I had researched these two projects close to five years ago now.. and they're still there. :)
[03:03]<rrsjg2>The first one appears to not have any updates for around 4 years now. :)
[03:03]<drssygn>:)
[03:03]<drssygn>they have a work now for sure
[03:04]<fgjggf>the first the last mail on the devel list was dated on Aug 1 2005
[03:04]<rrsjg2>heh
[03:04]<rrsjg2>The second one looks a little more up to date.
[03:05]<rrsjg2>And, it has a better license.
[03:05]<fgjggf>I mean the second
[08:31]<kuvj>hi i found bugs in mod_proxy, if i upload a .war files using the mod_proxy, im getting a 404 but its working if i use the port 8080, any solution?
[08:32]<rrsjg2>Kuto: What file upload library are you using inside Tomcat?
[08:33]<rrsjg2>Also, is the 404 from Tomcat or from Apache?
[08:36]<kuvj>i think its from tomcat, im uploading usng the administrative menu file.war
[08:40]<fdcgg>if its from tomcat it'd be a tomcat error page and very noticeable
[08:41]<fdcgg>http://www.acro.edu.au/public/somethingelse.jsp
[08:41]<fdcgg>thats a tomcat 404
[08:41]<kuvj>ok then its apache
[08:41]<kuvj>and sometimes when i clicked the administration menu, this is what i get => Tomcat's administration web application is no longer installed by default. Download and install the "admin" package to use it. "
[08:42]<kuvj>i dont see this error using port
[08:43]<kuvj>seems like the mod_proxy is not collaborating with the administration menu
[08:46]<rrsjg2>mod_proxy really doesn't know when you're using the admin webapp or not.
[08:46]<rrsjg2>It knows about paths.. whether to proxy it or not based on the path, but it doesn't know anything about webapps.
[08:47]<rrsjg2>If you're getting an apache 404, that means you don't have your proxy configs set up right.
[08:47]<kuvj>check this => http://dev.thepowergames.com/TestDev
[08:47]<rrsjg2>See the httpd.apache.org documentation page for mod_proxy.
[08:47]<kuvj>my problem is the administration
[08:48]<rrsjg2>Okay, so install the admin package.
[08:48]<kuvj>its installed
[08:48]<kuvj>try port 8080
[08:48]<rrsjg2>Not properly installed.
[08:49]<rrsjg2>Well, it's just your goofy installation.
[08:49]<rrsjg2>If you had both apache and Tomcat installed correctly, and configured correctly to proxy the requests across, it would work.
[08:49]<rrsjg2>It works on lots of peoples's machines.
[08:50]<kuvj>the proxy is working isnt it?
[08:50]<rrsjg2>It appears so.
[08:50]<rrsjg2>I haven't seen a 404 yet.
[08:51]<kuvj>http://dev.thepowergames.com/admin
[08:51]<kuvj>that one is
[08:52]<rrsjg2>Kuto: You need "www.dev.thepowergames.com" in your dns.. apparently it isn't in there.
[08:52]<rrsjg2>Kuto: And, you have your Tomcat set up to redirect to it.
[08:52]<kuvj>yeah i disabled www
[08:52]<kuvj>i only set it to work with http
[08:53]<rrsjg2>Well, just now your site was redirecting to that, and then the browser couldn't get any DNS resolution for that.
[08:56]<kuvj>weird, i recheck my httpd.conf and its enabled by default, the www
[08:57]<kuvj>http://pastebin.com/750678
[09:00]<rrsjg2>yup.
[09:00]<kuvj>how come www is down, any idea?
[09:02]<rrsjg2># resolveip www.dev.thepowergames.com

I'd like to blast out large binary files (stored in temp files) and writing the to ServletOutputStream is a bit slow and feels somewhat ugly
